River Market

City Market, which dates back to 1857, is at the heart of busy River Market, where casual global cafes, gourmet grocery stores, and indie boutiques surround pavilions, hosting a weekend farmers’ market. The Arabia Steamboat Museum, located nearby, showcases artifacts recovered from a ship that sank in the Missouri River in the mid-nineteenth century. Berkley Riverfront Park’s waterfront has wide trails for strolling and riding.

Downtown Kansas City is a bustling economic and cultural center featuring River Market, a dynamic riverfront shopping and dining district. The remarkable shell-shaped Kauffman Center hosts symphonic, opera, and ballet performances, while the majestic Union Station, built in 1914, has a planetarium. Penn Valley Park features a skyline vista and the National WWI Museum and Memorial. Other museums focus on African-American baseball and American jazz.

Downtown Kansas City

Crossroads

Crossroads is crammed with lively art galleries in refurbished warehouses and is anchored by the startlingly contemporary Kauffman Center, which stages opera, ballet, and concerts. The neighborhood is dotted with hip coffee shops, brewpubs, BBQ eateries, and retro-styled taverns, as well as independent businesses selling clothes, handcrafted jewelry, and eccentric stationery. Art displays and food trucks draw large audiences to the monthly First Friday activities.

Armor Hills is a Kansas City, Missouri neighborhood. Brookside Road borders it on the west, 65th Street on the north, Oak Street on the east, and Gregory Boulevard on the south.

Pendleton Heights

Pendleton Heights is a historic neighborhood of Kansas City, Missouri. It is located near the downtown highway loop, between Paseo and Chestnut Trafficway on the west and east sides and Independence Avenue and Cliff Drive on the south and north sides.

West Bottoms

The West Bottoms is a peaceful neighborhood that comes to life once a month for the First Weekends event, which features food trucks and live music. Some boutiques are open on other weekends or by appointment, while the district’s varied contemporary art galleries exhibit their works daily. Brewpubs, wine bars, and steakhouses in the area offer an industrial-chic ambiance.

Brookside is a neighborhood in Kansas City, Missouri, surrounded on the north by 55th Street, on the south by Gregory, on the west by Ward Parkway, and on the east by Troost. The Brookside Shopping District is located in the area. Brookside is part of the Country Club District, the country’s largest contiguous master-planned neighborhood. J.C. Nichols designed Brookside and the Country Club District. The John Wornall House is a National Register of Historic Places local site in Brookside.

West Plaza

West Plaza is a Kansas City, Missouri neighborhood located just west of the Country Club Plaza district. It is a diverse urban community with single-family homes, small apartment complexes, and storefront businesses.

The West Plaza is bounded on the north and south by Westport Road (43rd) Street and Brush Creek and on the east and west by Madison Avenue and State Line Road.

Many bungalows, Kansas City shirtwaists, and brick apartment structures date from the early twentieth century. In the West Plaza, inviting front porches are common. Teardowns have recently become popular.

Several restaurants, pubs, and other businesses are housed in ancient brick storefronts along Westport Road, the neighborhood’s northern limit. A cluster of vintage and houseware retailers can be found on another commercial strip along 45th Street.

Kansas City Zoo

The Kansas City Zoo was established in 1909.and covers 202 acres (82 ha). Swope Park is located at 6800 Zoo Drive in Kansas City, Missouri, in the United States. The zoo has a program called Friends of the Zoo. It is recognized by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums and houses around 1,300 animals (AZA).View

Midtown-Westport is a diverse neighborhood noted for its Westport entertainment district, which includes colorful brewpubs, DJ bars, and retro-chic cafes serving American comfort cuisine. During the day, stylish fashion businesses dominate the scene. Midtown features historic structures such as the Thomas Hart Benton Home, which offers tours of the painter’s studio and grounds. Trails wind through Roanoke Park, which is surrounded by cliffs.

Midtown Westport

Union Hill

Union Hill is a historically significant neighborhood in Kansas City, Missouri. The area is located between 27th and 31st Streets, as well as Main Street and Gillham Road.

The Founders at Union Hill is a 9.2-acre (3.7-hectare) mixed-use, upscale urban development that spans 27th Terrace to 31st Street and Oak Street to Gillham Road. It is closer to Crown Center than it is to the neighborhood.

Union Hill, a short walk from the Crossroads Arts District, maintains history while welcoming the future of Kansas City, with local neighbors including the Kauffman Performing Arts Center, downtown Kansas City, and Country Club Plaza.
