Kansas City – A triple shooting on Saturday night has resulted in one death and left two others injured, with police still searching for the suspect. The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. on March 25, 2025, in the parking lot of a business located in the 5500 block of Troost Avenue.

The deceased victim has been identified as 33-year-old Zavion Horn, who was just two days shy of his 34th birthday. Horn was unresponsive when he arrived at a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The other two victims, a man and a woman, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and are currently receiving treatment.

Initial investigations suggest that the shooting stemmed from an interaction between Horn and an unidentified male suspect, which escalated into gunfire that impacted all three victims. The suspect fled the scene on foot and remains at large. At this time, no additional information about the suspect has been released by law enforcement.
